If that is where the oil cooler is, that would make sense. I see you're in Vegas. Are there any good tuners here? And who do you trust working on your car?
I just acquired my C63. I do most of the maintenance on my C55.

There's a secondary oil cooler behind the lower right side grille that probably vents out the fender well if I had to guess. I never looked though...
As far as tuners here go, no idea. I figure I'd probably need to go to SoCal like I did for my vette. Precision Garage up by the speedway is a decent independent shop although I don't know if they have any direct C63 experience. Mine's still under warranty to it goes to the dealer when it needs something.
