Fuel Injector Cleaning Results
I wanted to share the fantastic results I have had over the past few years with getting my fuel injectors from different cars cleaned by RC Fuel Injection in Torrence CA. I just got my C63 injectors back and installed today and it now idles so smooth I think I could balance a nickel on the engine. My C63 has the P30 option and about 31k miles and I have occasionally used a can of Techron cleaner in the tank but doubt it does any good. The car also feels more responsive but won't be able to get it to the drag strip to see results for a month or so. I have attached the report you get from RC with before and after cleaning and it shows I also had 4 dripping injectors. I had similar results in the past with my Lexus LX450 and Viper V10 that ran much smoother after all injectors were squirting the same amount of fuel.

In my experience the cleaner you add to the tank is worthless once they are dirty. My car has 31k miles. The cost is $24 per injector and their web is rceng.com for details. They usually have a 24 hour turnaround and do all sorts of custom injectors for racing and modifications. If you are a wrench turner it is a simple job. If you have to ask it may not be a good project to perform without someone with more experience to help you.

I’m half way into this and you posted exactly what I am going to post.
However, because it will take me a while to do this, I bought Bosch Fuel injectors that are the proper model but not AMG marked while I get the OEM ones cleaned and ready.
Once I get the OEM cleaned and installed ill sell the Bosch if anybody is interested.
If not, I’ll alternate them, while the other set gets cleaned.
I was thinking that with these cars the injectors are clogging easy, because every chance it has it shifts into the 7th and runs 1500 RPM. Looks like they are.
The Techron works, but there are some problems:
1. Using higher concentrations than indicated (which I did with some of my previous cars) while cleaning effectively, can affect the oxygen sensors and change the gas mileage. If you do a search, you will see across many vehicles random reports of worse gas mileage after Techron. Of course nobody will admit that they used twice the concentration.
It is possible that eventually the exhaust stream may eventually clean the residue off the sensors, I’m not sure about this.
2. If you never used it and begin using it at say 50k miles, it could in theory dislodge some gunk that could get stuck in the injector and prevent it from properly closing. I’ve read of this as a theory and it was put out by injector cleaning firms, maybe it’s just ....a theory.
3. And this happened to me with my Alfa Romeo back in the late ‘90’s. If you over use the Techron like once every 3-4 tanks, you will eventually put a hole in your fuel tank.
Mine started to leak at the welded seam. I was the only one in the Alfa forum that had this problem on the 164 and I was the one using Techron the most.
So it’s powerful and it can work, but it can have downsides too.
Nice to see that the stock injectors are around 410 cc.

Sorry man, an injector cleaner in the tank doesn't even remotely touch the capability of running them through a ASNU or something similar.

And I am not claiming it is anywhere close to a modern ultrasonic cleaning.
Not to mention the real time pattern checking and knowing for sure that you’re not going to hydro lock your engine because of a leaky injector.
That’s why I replaced with new injectors and am getting my OEM ones ultrasonic cleaned then flow tested, like the OP.
But if you can’t do this and don’t want to spend for a dealer cleaning at the fuel rail (also not as good as the ultrasonic one), then a can of Techron will do ..... something.

No, they are $80 at mercedesgenuine
But if you buy Bosch fuel injectors of the proper part number but not marked AMG (and I have pictures side by side and the Bosch part number is the same on the AMG branded ones ), then the price is $28/each.

When I lookup the Bosch number 0280158152 it is 80 bucks, what part number are you using to find them for 28 bucks?

Great thread OP and an eye-opener. I've always assumed using the "best" gas (Shell, Costco, Chevron) known for the highest levels of detergents and handily exceeding Top Tier minimum levels would be enough to keep injectors at 100% efficiency but i guess not. I'll be very interested to see how mine check out particularly as I usually keep revs 25% higher in all driving conditions than what would be the norm in default full-automatic mode.

So for instance go to atohausaz. Go through the search pattern put in the car and year and go to injectors and you'll find the injectors for $28, now out of stock, I guess the news travelled. As far as part number, they use the Mercedes part number 156 7800 23. But then they come in boxes such as so:
