Hit and run
NYC finest cabbies doing some damage. Went to visit my parents and some cabbie hit me and tried to get away. He was blocked by an oil truck and tried to pass him on the sidewalk. Whats my best option here?
i got the video and pics from my neighbor along with his license plate and medallion number. Filed a police report as well

show the cops, get a lawyer if needed and have them go after the company and the driver for fleeing the scene of an accident. You can always try to blast them on social media, but that doens't always work out so well. You can also give all of this info to your insurance and they can go after them and the company as well.

From what I hear, going after city cabs is tough. But I already forwarded everything to both the cops and my insurance. Might have to get a lawyer.

NYC taxi hit and run, and you got it on video? Sounds to me like you’re going to have a Medallion. How can going after them possibly be difficult with video evidence?

Open a claim with your insurance company, they should on the repair right away so your car is fixed. Let your insurance company worry about the rest, they’ll go after the insurance carrier of the cab how they see fit.

My neighbor wasn't able to actually catch the cabbie hitting me but the pics seem to be good enough. I'm taking the car to my body shop and having it repaired next week so lets see how it goes. My sister in law works for all state and she says it will be fine. That dude should deff not be driving.

I spoke with the PD, they filed a criminal report so maybe everything will be good. My sister in law who works for All State says they will pay for everythjng and fight with them. She said it takes time to get the money from cab companies but eventually they will pay up. Taking the car to a high end shop called J&B bodyworks. They mostly do supercars so at least the work should be top notch. Thanks for all the help fellas, will post back when its done
