my slow 507 build .....
very excited to have found this poor neglected 507 in matte magno in Dallas - looks to be from FL originally so wondering if anyone can share insight on her..... coming from a E63 that I missed I was excited to get this color and the extra features of the 507... my old DD is a fully built 200 series LC that my wife has stolen.... love that woman for liking that beast, a 6500 lb truck on 37's with 475 hp...
34K onr the 507 and still under warranty ... orered up a batch of parts before I even clsoed the deal... I have a bit of a CF itch... had several RS6's and this color really works well with CF.... so:
JB speed rear CF vorsteiner style rear spoiler
JL Speed Godhand style front spoiler
RW Carbon - side skirts, rear big difffuser, and mirrors caps
Ebay special rear lower bumper skirts - actually WAY better then expected...
and some matte decals and misc...
up next de-chroming the trim and V7 and X-pipe/ cat delete.... and evaluate the need for DP's.... I know it's a very slippery slope..
also moving to 18's rims to handle the fine houston streets.... so the 507's forged ACC rims are up for grabs in the classifieds. also selling the factory rear spoiler, the black 507 mirror caps and the OME c63 exhaust.....my shop did the tips in satin black high temp but it could easily be cleaned up.
stoked to be back in a Merc.... and loving the color.

Very well done. Really like the black tailpipes. Not a fan of the “C63S” emblem, otherwise on point.

My wife is in your camp on the "s" ...... I like the red accent as it ties the calipers and 6.3 side trim but agree it speaks to a different gen..... going to give it a week or two..
thanks - as your car was one of my inspirations.....

Are you going to black out the window trim? Think that would look great gloss wrapped. They come off easy so you can get it perfect.

yep - think that's really going to clean it up
from there it's going to be Hp mods that you all have lead the way on..... fairly certain I'll end up doing the MBP header, cats and xpipe tomorrow..... the pricing is great. and then..... likely a LSD and ROW or carbonio ..... thoughts ?

Can’t go wrong with MBH. Don’t waste your $ on the Carbonio, ROWs will give you pretty much the same gain. With the $ you save there you can get an LSD installed.
I really like the Weistec TCU/VB upgrade, but not sure if they’re offering it anymore. If you plan on tracking the car then there are endless things you can do to the suspension etc. Think you’ll be real happy with a tune and headers - totally transforms the car.

Very nice, my four door brother. Keep tabs on the performance upgrades if you can. Not sure if you will get the car dyno'd to document, but it would be of particular interest to me and other 507 owners to learn of your gains. I like your choice in mods thus far and agree the CF is beautiful accent to the Magno Platinum color scheme. Reinstalling the matte gray decals will be sharp too, since unlike the current accelerator decals that are wide and loud, ours are more subdued. Nice to see those Afalterbach center caps. I've been sitting on a set for a year now as I didn't think they looked as nice as the standard black star. I may have to rethink that now.
Congratulations - enjoy in good health

haha- thanks, it's at the shop now getting the trim wrapped and have the side markers sitting in my backseat !
I'll dig up the spoiler ad - it fit very well for the cost and the weave is consistent... for the price all good given it likely lifespan....
the 6.3 emblems I found on fleaby in Red - I actually got another set that my shop is going to satin paint the chrome aspect ..... no idea how but they did a great job on my Landcruiser emblems which were similar.

so the wrap folks did a really nice job ( underground graphix in hosuton) - doing the window trim, door chrome and tinting the tails - and I put in the clear markers, and snapped in the CF grille.....
think the exterior is almost done - pending Mode CArbon CF hood vents in 2-3 months.....
utter opposites but both perfect for their intended use...

So the "s" is coming off....... on the CF grille - picked it up from a member here- not sure if it was wrapped by Matt or ? it's okay but it just an OEM that was wrapped and the weave and clear coat aren't perfect..... but given it's location it's fine...it's cover with bugs in a day this time of the year.
have my OEM grille avail if anyone wants to use it as a core to wrap.
