I love quoting these so they can’t be edited later and the stupidity of your posts can be preserved for all of time.
Removing the the charcoal filter is removing something that is directly blocking the air flow. It’s right on top of the filter, and any air into the engine has to pass through it as well. That’s what a restriction is. There is no restriction with the filter edge, what are you talking about. The air doesn’t have to pass through the cardboard. What are you trying to say, that the air being pulled through the filter is bothered that the filter is either 1/2” higher or lower. Do you see how dumb your argument is yet? Remove the lower air box - by your logic this should make 50hp because a “restriction” is removed.

I mean, I get it if someone doesn’t understand how engines work. It’s ok, we were all new to this stuff once. But don’t continue to argue against the laws of physics and common sense. Go read a book, learn about this, use your head. It’s just mind-boggling how these people double down on some stupid marketing they heard in order to feel like they’re justified for faling for this crap.

Wow, you guys are insane. When did people start reading something, and instead of taking it at face value, start twisting and manipulating it so it fits their beliefs. I'll repeat and simplify it for you egocentric *******s.
Review. Was getting used to the power the car was putting down. Looked for simple mods I could do myself. Saw the spacers, I thought these things were stupid, but I was bored had some free time. Contacted shardul, mildly ridiculed this product, got a hefty discount. Recieved, installed, surprised. Car felt different. More responsive, power increase is noticeble. Felt bad for talking ****, posted review of my experience with these. Knew beforehand I would get flamed. Currently still am. Positive experience, felt like sharing incase anyone was on fence. What part of any of this makes me stupid?
BLK, MAZ, and those other 2 guys. Seriously you guys are pathetic and need to get a life.

LOL. I thought I had you figured out. But once you get passed all you're layers of stupidity you find out, theres more stupidity under that. This thread no longer has to do with mods or spacers. Sounds like something that should be settled in the cage. Calling out BLKDLDO & MAZPUTO. Admin close this thread and reopen the cage!

You're not an idiot because you don't understand anything about cars, how power is made or the making of ice cream. The problem is, is that you're believing what you think is right, and unfortunately for you it's not. You might get a few people to believe that it might add a few hp or something like that, but it doesn't. It just flat out doesn't do a damn thing other than take money out of your wallet. No one is going to buy these things and no one should. If this worked, everyone would have this and would have dynoed it. But sadly it's a sham. It doesn't work, it never did and your story although very silly sounding is still just a story.

Look, you're an idiot. Nothing you can do about that other than hit the books you can logically understand.

My experience and back ground in racing and driving and running a race team and building race cars tells me I am right. Science tells me I am right. The fact that AMG never had any spacer in the 6.2 for added power tells me I am right. None of the AMG race teams use this tells me I am right. Air flow dynamics and understanding this tells me I am right. What tells you that you think you're right? Your car being able to cut loose in 1st and 2nd gear? Everyone here with a tune can do that. You're just dumb. Flat out dumb.

Heres what Chow and I think of your racing history and science.

Jeez guys!
Ok Maz, you thought he was talking about something else and decided to have a laugh about that. It turns out that you got the wrong end of the stick. You should just apologize for that misunderstanding and move on.
Please don't think I'm taking a dig at you. Just calling it like I see it.
OP, maybe you can feel a difference, MAYBE, but the way you are reacting to the others is making you look like a fool. Sorry to say it, but that's how I see it.
I know next to nothing about mechanics, but what I'm understanding from the others over here is that your restriction is the engine itself. It can only consume so much air, so you forcing more air underneath the filter is doing next to nothing for the car.
So maybe your mod is sending more air to the engine at low speeds and low rpm (because it can hold more air underneath the filter), but after that it will do absolutely nothing.
Am I on the right track guys?
I think the best bet is to do a before and after dyno pull, but pay attention to what is going on in the lower rpms, not your peak power. That will give you an idea about what you're feeling.
Log your car before and after as well. Add rpm, throttle position, and MAF readings. Logs don't lie, so they can't call bull on it.

No, I got it right and knew what he, the "OP" was talking about.

Any air flow restriction that was taken out would be helpful in the upper RPM range, not the lower range unless it was supercharged.

Not taking my ball and going home. Just not going to waste time doing before and after dynos so people can still discredit it. Or make stupid post like Mazda saying it was rigged. Not worth the effort seriously. Black still needs to eat a sneaker from previous thread. As numbers were provided. Got work to do. Will reply to stupid post this afternoon.
Welp, I've see everything I need to see here. On to the next thread.
