Part number they gave me was 2044604816 does anyone know if it's the same one for both? searching ebay and 2012+ models are coming up with the same part number. can anyone verify if it'll work on a 2009 c63?

got 160k out of my original one, wouldn't mind a used one even if i only get half that.

On genuinemercedesparts.com and parts.com it shows 204-460-24-16 as steering column without memory option and 204-460-48-16 with memory option for MY2009. the shop is the one that told me to get 204-460-48-16, but 204-460-48-16 is also showing MY2012+.. so far a lot of the used ones i'm seeing is for the higher MY. do you think it'll work?

or i guess a more general question would be is are the part numbers year specific? or does the year not matter as long as the part number is the same?

As far as I know part numbers are MY specific but can be applied over various model years so if it lists a part for a 2009 and for a 2012 it should fit.

Call your dealer and ask if one of the part numbers fits your car and then call another and ask about the other part number.
