Ok that’s something.
But seriously, MB has no problem cranking out millions of cars a year with perfectly functional airbags. You’d think a judge would have ordered them by now to stop putting those new airbags in new cars until they have retrofit all the existing cars with the grenading airbags first?
The burden shouldn’t be on the consumer. It’s not our fault MB picked Takata to make their shïtty airbags.

It's a 2013!!!!! Last time I checked my calendar it said 2019. How long does this take to come up with a fix that potentially SAVES LIVES for those sitting in the passenger seat? SIX YEARS AND COUNTING.

Picked up my car today. Took 2 days for them to do this. The new driver side airbag looks a little smaller than the old one as I see there is a gap between the bag and the steering wheel. For the passenger, they went in from the glove box to replace it.

Has anyone seen any updates on this? My 2012 is gonna be 8 years old soon, and even though I'm in the Northeast, it spent most of it's life in the south with higher temps and humidity. Still haven't heard **** from Mercedes as far as an ETA is concerned, just that BS recall notice they sent out early in the year, where they pretend to care and use the "parts not available" cop out.

Repairs were originally scheduled to prioritize older cars that had been in hot and humid environments. Not sure if that's still the case, but my "parts are now available" letter arrived last week and I had the repair (passenger side air bag) done last Thursday. My car is a 2012, was originally in Phoenix but has been in hot-n-humid Houston most of it's life.
