Can anyone tell me where the oil temp sensor is located?

I've got a bad one and need to replace it.
I've got the part, I just have no idea where the sensor is located.

Thanks.

Is that the same sensor that I would need to replace on the C63 because thats not the sensor that I found at pelican parts...
this is the one I got:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...BZ&SVSVSI=4658

If location is the same, thats great. just wanted to make sure I have the right part...

I'd have to look at the WIS to verify, but I thought the level and temp sensor were integrated.

Edit: Looks like it's over by the smaller cooler.

The one where the fan blows like mad because the sensor is dead? Should be easy to find.
I'll go put the car up and take a look.

Hard to say from the online part sites. A lot of them say it's a coolant temp sensor. Maybe it's the same sensor used for both?

#19 below, but it's not a very helpful diagram...

I love that image!
Hey! Here's some parts! They exist near each other! They go in a car! See? We have a car outline to emphasize!

Looks like it goes into a block of some sort (16) that is near a distribution thingy (15).
I think I can work with this. Thanks!

Yeah, I really cannot find it... I could take apart the whole engine bay looking but I'd rather not. hahahaha.
I'm about to drop cash on the alldatadiy.com c63 package unless anyone can help out here.

Thanks.

Found it.
It's behind the starter screwed into the engine block. Not exactly what I had envisioned. I'll be going to my indy shop for this one I think...

Edit: behind the AC compressor, Mort is always right. Don't know why I wrote starter...

According to ALLDataDiy it is left front behind the A/C Compressor. Looks like a real bear to get to. I can just see it behind the side of the compressor. I am sure the compressor will have to come out to get to the sensor.

Not sure what you found by the starter?

Looks like you have to remove the A/C compressor to get to it.
