yeah...if your sensor never changes value, you definitely have an issue there...

my sensor ranges in temp from what i see often 50's to 109 degree's. when i drive hard it seems the fans kick on because from 109 the temps will drop every 20 seconds a degree. when just cruising and hot out temps hover around 101-109.

Thanks hachiroku
Only if we are taking about the temperature on the Dash then that is not the Oil temperature you see there but the cooling/refrigerant..

what I know so far is our cars are equipped with the Inter-cooler and mine has a better than the original installed
"Mercedes CLS63AMG S, E63AMG S, G63AMG, SL63AMG Auxiliary Water Pump A 000 500 04 86"
Then later found out the Meizler pump could have done it for less money but since i had it installed my temperature never drops much or raise much, it runs warm quick im so happy for that so not much waiting time before is operating temperature..
Only when you say Degrees is that Metric Degrees or?
Im in Sweden so we use the Metric system perhaps is why, what you think?
Still I think yours deviates a lot and I spoke to the Local AMG Center my tech guy who has 16 years at Mercedes, 8 at AMG center technical diagnose..
(just want to say he also learns from me all the stuff I learn here all the parts we can get that MB normal will replace the hole unit well rocks, so he is always very willing I just call him but went there today he said is very normal operating temperature and there should not be any deviation at all if Inter-cooler pump is working properly, that would not affect the Oil sensor at all..

Anyway is a good reference I am happy you posted it made me look closer and soon we will know, maybe your right, maybe im wrong I will differently get back as soon as I have it replaced..

If you can tell me where you read the Oil Temperature on the Dashboard?

Now I see it, checked temperature yesterday over the AC Display and reached 93-94 degrees it seems you are correct and it works is just the heat difference from where I am I am sure. When kicked it I reached 94 degrees

Problem solved.
Solved: implausible oil temp
Solved: Weird tranny problem when in M mode tranny suddenly changes to S by itself apparently to protect the tranny. Tranny senses engine oil temp and therefore changes to a higher rpm.

So happy having my manual mode back and feeling the monster again
