C63 VRP Longtubes/OBX?
Im currently looking at buying my second c63 but this time a high mileage one for racing purposes. With my FBO E55 I was able to buy Longtubes from a company called PB5 and they worked great, my dyno sheet was on par with MBH and ARH Long-tube header gains(not saying they are on the same level just similar numbers). I did suffer from some rubbing at low rpm and hard throttle and i was told my installer should have made a golf size dent on the heat shield for the driver side but thats another story. Has anyone tried these headers because it seems like there is not one person who has one. They looked similar to a IPE headers and i was thinking maybe to get a batch since they are really cheap and ceramic coat them and get a shop to finish the rest of the exhaust after the headers with v bands and what not for longevity maybe even flex pipes(even tho they break fast). Theres not one thread or any reviews of them would love to hear from buyers.

The "pb5" headers are XSpower. Not Pb5. And PB5 no longer sells headers.
our headers are not OBX. They are 304 stainless, tig welded. We do offer OBX but they are not the same as the VRP branded.
thanks!
edit: we are currently back ordered but expect the next batch in about 2 weeks. For that reason they are discounted.

How is the fitment, has anyone reviewed them or installed them besides shop R&D and testing.

I am interested in purchasing the VRP headers as well but i really want to be sure that these fit very well. And no fitment or engine issues. please provide input and recommendations.

Just got my ride back from the MBH LTH and X pipe install. Currently running no cats, no res, and stock mufflers. Shop charged me 6 hours but they gave me a good deal!
The exhaust note sounds much healthier and you defiantly can smell the fuel without the cats. Straight stankin!! and the car is so loud now! I was warning my neighbor who's apartment is next to the parking lot that the install was imminent and the second I started the motor, he looked out the window in shock....lol. Still haven't cold started the car yet but I am expecting something gnarly.
I was worried as many others are about looking the signature AMG bark and sound. I will say with my current set up, this seems to be the case. Very loud, but a little higher of a pitch note, not as deep as the factory sound which we all adore. Best way to describe it is that it sounds kinda like a Mustang..... I am getting some raspiness through second and third gear which to me kinda sounds like crap. It is defiantly the true RAW sound of the m156 which is pretty cool but due to the raspiness and the smell I will make my next step adding the MBH hi-flow cats and taking it from there.
The car defiantly feels faster and can probably ruin someone's hearing for a few days.... Smashed non the freeway in 4th and the sound was basically insane. Never had pulled that hard in my car before, I feel like I have unlocked the beast.
More to come!
