c63 front end

Is the c63 front end different from a regular non AMG(non v8) w204??

To be more specific, is it longer to accommodate for the v8?

Hey there,

Yes the C63 AMG has a wider front track than a regular w204 so the front fenders flare out a little on each side and because the engine is longer the front bumper protrudes out like one and half inches longer than a regular w204. The rear is the same as a regular W204 body. Mercedes was to cheap to allow AMG to modify the rear fenders.

Those are just cosmetics tho.

Is the actual front end longer like it is on a c55 when compared to a c32? The c55 has a longer clk front end to accommodate for a v8

haha Yeah I agree with you. I have too many things on my plate to memorize all the different specs between the standard W204 and the W204 C63. Like I told you. It’s modifed from the standard car quite a bit. May I suggest you google some old motor trend and car and driver “first drive” articles from 2008 they might break down the differences between the two cars front ends for him.

Use the googles man. Nobody cares about your thread or if their car is longer/wider than a regular C.

So fenders and hood are actually longer and they wouldn't fit a standard w204?

yes, longer. And they will fit the standard C-class...if you get ALL the pieces. But then you have issues where the intake snorkels and stuff are too short to reach the front of the car. and I'm not sure where the front wheels would sit in the wells.
