i never got to drive it with the 265’s on it as the dealer changed them. I will say the 265 pss’s Filled out the rear much nicer and looked like it had spacers when it did not.

18" Pilot Sport 4 on my C63. Changed the rear tires to 265's. Much better than the stock Contis.

I recommend you go as wide as you can go. 19” rims will take 275 in the rear. If you look at the 2018 C63 w205 285, Black Series 285, M4 285, Porsche GT3 (500hp) 305. The W204 is fitted with anemic size rear tires as to why it excessively overseers. Best performance mod is often over looked to save money, but you gotta put the power down, or the rest means nothing. Just my opinion as a former team sponsored racer.

I just went ahead and bought these, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. I know the car eats rear tires and these are DIRT cheap in comparison to other tires in the same class while still being actually good. Couldn't believe the price difference. I did want to go with PSS/PS4 but the average quote was around 1500-1600 CAD, whereas these were 825 installed for a set. I'll report back how they are once the car gets back on the road. I'm not expecting miracles, but I have run the previous version on my C250 before and they were excellent overall tires. Plus they actually look pretty good. Basically at that cost I don't care too much about eating a set of rear tires within 10000km

I upsized the rear slightly from 255/35/18 to 265/35/18, kept the same 235 width up front.

BTW - those are rebranded Bridgestone Potenza RE003’s. Just FYI

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's. I've also used the Pilot Sport AS/3s before as they cost a little less and still perform very well.

245/45/18 front
275/40/18 rear

Friend owns a tire shop so I can get a set for right around $1k USD. Living in The South is nice as I never have to switch to winter tires =)

How do you like them after a year? Did they wear well & how is the grip from 1st gear? Recently drove my buddies bone stock ISF with these & was surprised that they were quite grippy. However we have a bit more torque & with smaller 18" wheels, wondering if its suitable for our C63s. I haven't found much owners here with these.

How much can you safely increase the width running 18" wheels?

most users run 275 without problem. This is also dependent on the tire manufacturer. Michelin PS4 in 275 is what you need!

I went with PSS after a few sets of conti 5p. The PSS transformed the grip and response and had a smoother ride. Big fan of PSS. If you can get ps4s in your size I would imagine those might be even better

Yet another vote for PS4S.
Tried Conti’s but seem to get better wear on the Michelin’s..
