Just curious what thoughts were on how much noticeable gains there are from 255-265 rears? I'm due for rears and used the ebay $100 off for another set of 255s because 265s were OOS. Now I'm wondering if I'll regret it or if I'd have noticed a difference one size up anyways.

I recommend you go as wide as you can go. 19” rims will take 275 in the rear. If you look at the 2018 C63 w205 285, Black Series 285, M4 285, Porsche GT3 (500hp) 305. The W204 is fitted with anemic size rear tires as to why it excessively overseers. Best performance mod is often over looked to save money, but you gotta put the power down, or the rest means nothing. Just my opinion as a former team sponsored racer.

I just went ahead and bought these, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. I know the car eats rear tires and these are DIRT cheap in comparison to other tires in the same class while still being actually good. Couldn't believe the price difference. I did want to go with PSS/PS4 but the average quote was around 1500-1600 CAD, whereas these were 825 installed for a set. I'll report back how they are once the car gets back on the road. I'm not expecting miracles, but I have run the previous version on my C250 before and they were excellent overall tires. Plus they actually look pretty good. Basically at that cost I don't care too much about eating a set of rear tires within 10000km
I upsized the rear slightly from 255/35/18 to 265/35/18, kept the same 235 width up front.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's. I've also used the Pilot Sport AS/3s before as they cost a little less and still perform very well.
245/45/18 front
275/40/18 rear
Friend owns a tire shop so I can get a set for right around $1k USD. Living in The South is nice as I never have to switch to winter tires =)

I went with PSS after a few sets of conti 5p. The PSS transformed the grip and response and had a smoother ride. Big fan of PSS. If you can get ps4s in your size I would imagine those might be even better
