Current Brake options
Hi guys,
I am looking to find the best option to get brake rotors / pads for front and back. my car is a 2011 with the AMG performance package. It is the Affalterbach edition which comes with the upgraded brakes etc, i think its the same as the P30 package.
Has anyone done brakes recently and would suggest a good source to get parts for cheaper than the dealer? I am in canada and my car needs full brakes front and back to pass the inspection.
I am looking to stay OEM, not looking for any upgrades but open to reputable vendors like Brembo etc.
any suggestions would be great!

Racing Brake is what I went with - solid weight savings and decent pricing ( albeit I saved a bit more buying a lightly used set from a MB member..)

Yea i am looking on FCP euro but they only have Brembo fronts and the rears are only zimmerman available. not sure if i wanna go with zimmerman. did you get Brembos from them for front and back?

Zimmerman for the rears. They are OE quality rotors. Lots of my BMW friends use Zimmerman instead of OE and I've never heard one bad thing about them.

I got my P30 front rotors from FCP and you should too. Yes they come in the Brembo box instead of the Mercedes box. It's the same rotor and you'll save several hundred dollars. Not sure why you say "only" have Brembos. The rotors and calipers are Brembo.

I would just like to know what to use in the rear. Looks like I can use Zimmerman for the back and brembo in front.

From doing some searching through the forums, I do believe that the standard Zimmerman front rotors will fit fine on all w204 C63s except the black series. They are a single piece rotor, so not quite as fancy as the 2 piece Brembo, and you'll gain some unsprung weight going that route. When I do my brakes later this year, I am going to shell out the extra for the Brembo's from FCP Euro. Their lifetime replacement policy means that the overall cost difference is minimal over the single piece when you consider the life of the vehicle.
