New potential owner....
i've searched and been contemplating a few choices for my next vehicle. Currently looking at these C63's: 2008 47K miles, $24.5......2010 69K, $23,700 (has carbon fiber), 2012 66K miles, 29,750 (matte color, i think special edition)....
what are the differences in the matte color 2012 one? is it just paint.
from what i've searched 2012 i shouldn't have any head bolt issues? Being able to stream bluetooth is important. Is there a thread on the year comparisons? there is also a 2011 that's the same price as the 2012 with 20K less miles near me. most of these cars are at least 250+ miles away. i'm in charlotte nc and willing to travel up to 500 miles.
i know the obvious choice is the more expensive one, but is the extra $6K, 25% more in price worth it??
any help appreciated. which one would you buy??

Hands down the 2012, it has all the updates, better Nav, better gauge functions and colors, getter looking dash, the new front end that I consider better looking for sure and no head bolt issue.
The 2012 in matte color would be an Edition 1 special which is nice a unique, you just have to decide if you want to deal with the matte paint as it is a bit more work to maintain and much harder to fix if damaged, but looks very cool.
Edition one gets you the P31 package (coupe only) and a bunch of other unique stuff - it was 16k on the coupe (8k on sedan), the mileage is a bit high on it but it is probably worth the extra 6k as the headbolt fix is a lot of that diff on an older car. (only 100 coupes and 60 sedans exist in the US)

Honestly the sedan doesn't have that much room in the back. Maybe for young kids or others under 5'4" lol. The sedan weighs about 300lbs less, though.
Id get a 2012+ since the issues have been resolved plus you get the MCT transmission, which is arguably stronger and you get launch control (Race Start). If Bluetooth streaming is a must, make sure the car has the Navigation option. Basically, make sure it has the large display screen in the middle of the dash. The other "must have" options for me would be P31 (forged SLS internals, fancy red brakes), Limited Slip Differential, Lighting Package (cornering headlamps and upgraded headlights), Convenience Package (KeylessGo), and Napa Leather Package.

So the biggest issue for me is that the Edition 1 sedan did not come with P31 like the coupe and others have posted it could not be added, so unlike the coupe the sedan is just cosmetics.

According to the Technical Data Sheets I have from MB Canada both the 2012 C63 Sedan and Coupe have a Curb weight of 1730 kg ( ~3806 lbs).
Obviously it is hard to get definitive data on these weights.
