Trans oil double in price?
Went in to get a quote on a transmission and brake flush and was told the oil almost doubled in the last year.like 40 a quart etc.
first price was 980 plus tax for both and I haggled them to do it 725 for both all in tax included and still feel I got ripped off big time.
I'm not being cheap but wtf 1k+ for beake and tranny flush?
at least they took off around 350 lol

That sounds like a crazy price. My indy did my trans flush and fill last year for under $300 if I recall correctly. Brakes don't even need a quart to flush/fill, and if you have the car on a lift with all the wheels off it should take less than 30min to bleed all 6 points. Anything over $500 and I'd tell them to take a hike.

yes it did make the shifts a bit more crisp in comfort mode .
Btw if anyone is looking for the transmission fluid I have 9 quarts of the oem Mercedes fluid (blue) that I don’t need and will let go for 90 shipped!

I had my car fully serviced about a month ago from the indy shop I've been going to for over a decade, and noticed that the cost of trans fluid went way up also.

I'm over paying by about 200 but at least they will give me a loaner for a day.
I have a year and a half left on my cpo and they said they need to see maintenance done at dealer to good will the car if anything happens.
