OP its been a very long time, I remember when we were both shopping for a used set. I've since been enjoying the ridiculous sound of my long tubes. Perhaps you should consider buying a new set?

We were all looking at around the same time. I got tired of playing the waiting game and bough a catted set for >3k. Just get a new 0% interest rate cc and pay them little by little. And be done with it.
