Real cost of one track day?
Had this car for almost a year now and it’s been a blast. Got it at 68k and put 20k In a year with no problems except a loose heat shield and a fuel rail fault code which cleared it self.
Im ready to bring the beast to the track but unsure of the maintenance required before/after.
Which of these consumables will need replacement?
- engine oil
- brake pads/rotors
- brake fluid
- other fluids?
- new rubber
Trying to make a decision but I’m scared about the cost and stress on car components. My car already runs hot and consumes more than a liter between oil changes.

One track day you shouldn’t need to replace anything. Unless they need to be replaced. If your oil has some miles on it and you get it up over 260 then change it after. Have fun.

I've got a track day coming up here too on June 9 in NorCal. However, as it's my first track day in a car, I'm holding off on the blockoff plate for now. I'm in the novice class with 4 20 min sessions so I'll do as others have suggested and do some cooldown in between my "quali" runs LOL. Unless BLKROKT wants to sell me his bespoke CF plate?? I could tweak it to fit a PFL car I'm sure.
Anyway great topic. I'd say unless your trackday is a drift/skid pad "trackday", your tires should be OK unless they need replacement already. Fresh brake fluid seems like a good idea, and plenty of pad left.
