change the belt tensioner and all idler pulleys , when your belt first broke it might have got caught behind one of the pulleys misaligning it.

Thanks
I would’ve liked thought the Mercedes dealership achieve this
I wonder if the air-conditioning pump or the power steering pump could be the problem if it starting to seize up or possible resistance
The main dealer obviously found no issues with the pumps but here I am awaiting my rental car

You are on the right path... either one of the pulleys is misaligned or something is starting to seize up.

Just finished replacing the tensioner. for the serpentine belt.
Surprisingly difficult.
the top boilt I had to find by feel and eyball the location with a mirror.
Putting the new one in was difficult, I had to resort to ducktaping the bolt to the torx and at one point it really was not looking good as holding the tensioner in place with one hand left no room to put the bolt in place...
It's odd but although the old tensioner pulley has no play, now my idle does seem more quiet, but I'm happy it is.
