Seatbelt is locked

Anybody know any good tricks for fixing a locked seat belt? It's the driver's seat. It's not taking any webbing at the upper connector when I try to feed it. It's totally locked. What a PITA. No idea what caused it either. Was fine last night but when I got into the car this morning it was stuck.

This happened to me too when I bought my car used. I was under warranty so I just took it to the dealership and they replaced the seatbelt under warranty.

I ended up at the dealership too. They messed with it for a few minutes but said I'd need to make an appointment to drop it off. When I got home I started to play with the section of webbing that feeds into the extractor. Obviously the seat belt assembly is built to absorb a ton of weight so I just got on a good pair of gloves, wrapped the webbing around my right hand and started trying anything I could think of - short of a scissors - to get that extractor to release. Eventually it popped out (with the extractor in the lowest position FWIW) after a ton of fighting.
