***Transmission Hesitation/not engaging**

Hey guys!
I have a 2013 C63 w/ p31 package 16k Miles. I’m having an issue with the transmission hesitating/not engaging. This happens when you are slowing down and let go of the gas and then when you step on the gas again, the transmission has a hard time engaging. You can feel it in the transmission and my car has been maintained by the book so not sure what the issue could be. Does anyone have this same problem? Would really appreciate feedback. Thanks again!

These transmissions do not suck. Put it in manual and then you’ll be able to determine if it’s a hardware or software issue.

I noticed also problem with my 2013 c63.. When im switching fom reverse to drive sometimes (realy rare) it engages with a hit.. It thinks some 2secs and then hits in drive with noise.. Car has 46 000km ~ 29 000 miles
should i change oil in tranny already? Will it fix problem? Somebody has same issues on MCT?

that is a bit normal my 2013 did it and others have complained oil change made no difference on mine, tune seemed to make it more noticeable, are you running a tune?

What’s good about it lol ? It reacts slow , it downshifts jerky , it slips in comfort mode like it’s running a high stall converter , it sucks in traffic , it overheats quick , its adaptions are horrible since it’s constantly changing . The mainstream ZF transmissions that majority of companies use now is a hell of a lot better and we get stuck in an AMG car that’s made to be driven aggressively with a dinosaur setup . The 722.9 could have been a lot better and I expect that out of a Mercedes product let alone a performance variant.

I never said it was good. I said it didn't suck. If you're buying this car to fall in love with "comfort" mode then you'll be disappointed. About 75% of my driving is on twisty canyon roads with posted limits between 25mph and 45mph and I've been relatively happy with Sport+ if I'm not in a hurry. When I need to hustle though I put it in manual and shift with the paddles. It's not a DCT but it's pretty damn fast and it does what you tell it. I've owned a car with a DCT before. It shifted faster but it wasn't any better in traffic. The paddles were also on the steering column and it just made the whole experience uncomfortable and awkward.

The problem is that it doesnt always obey. Sometimes it's sharp and shifts within a sec, and others it takes its sweet time, about 3 sec later. The "C" mode slip thing happened to me today, and that shyt is lame/weird. There are only 2 things I can say are a disappointment about this car. 1. Transmision 2. Rear wheel archs. So I'd lean towards, suck > not good

*Gas mileage and trim not matching suck too.

Can I add expensive and hard to service to that list? About to do my 40K service and fack! Honestly though, the only time I'm genuinely frustrated with the transmission is when it's in C, S or S+ and I pull a paddle to shift it manually. It's like you're fighting with the tendencies of the tune. It may give you the gear that first time but it's like somebody else is constantly pulling on the puppet's strings with you.

Unless you're in "MANUAL" mode, clicking the up-shift will only give the trans the "option" to shift. It should still behave like a traditional automatic trans in S & S+...

Manual-mode is the only time where if it doesn't shift when you click/press the paddle, something ain't right.
