Winter Tire setup
So I've been looking around and I know the ideal setup would be to run 235/40/18 all around.
My question is would I be able to run 255/40/19 all around without any problems on my 2014 507 sedan? I'm at stock height.
Tires are Contiental winter contacts.
Thanks,

Hi,
Those winter tires would be too tall. You would need to run a 35 profile and preferably not such a wide contact patch. You may be able to get away with an over sized side wall but I would not recommend it.
Thanks.

I have to tell you guys that I've asked about the non staggered winter tire setup during one of the AMG private lounge monthly chat with the factory guys and the answer was that there is to be a mistake in the owners manual.
Also when I put on my rear 255 width bizzaks, they build them with a narrower thread by design, I would guesstimate by 1/2 inch.
The car started to fishtail under full throttle, until I guess the traction control adaptations took over.
So really narrow rears that are already narrow design may not work well, although they will cut better through deep snow and may do better on ice.

I won't be driving in deep snow.. but with that said I don't want to get stranded. I think I'm just going to go with 235/40/18 all around. I found someone selling a set locally with the stock 5 star amg rims. Their paired with pirelli sottozero ll.
