A quick-tuning question

So, I haven't tuned much before. Anyways I purchased a tune from X company. They say however, that they cannot tune my file because they cannot obtain the stock file from MBUSA.
Ok, so, considering they've tuned this car model before, I would think they would already have this. However, they don't I guess.
As far as I knew, they took the file of the STOCK ecu from MY car, that I sent by email, and they tune that. Does it not work this way?
Because another tuning company, who uses the same programs/methods, says that there is not another "stock file"
Either that or I'm misinterpreting everything, but I don't like paying for something and not actually getting it...

As per DIMSPORT ecu list,
BOSCH ME9.7 is on the list as accessible.... http://www.dimsport.it/ftpsito/pdf/N...ion%20list.pdf
So whats the dealio? And if true, why wouldn't MBEU/MBUSA give stock file to "dealer?" as they have before?
Additionally, ecu code for c63 matches, or is this early prod model have more than just a typo to it? (as per this thread, few weeks ago)

I'd suggest asking for your money back and giving Eurocharged a call.

I should note this is for my c300, so clearly not as easy as the c63 however I figured since the majority of the market is from this section of the forum, maybe someone had similar experience.
I'm not blaming EC at all, they're doing a good job but for the 300 I suppose they can't suit my needs. I just think it's weird cause for the C63 it's a breeze, I expected the same.
I trust Jerry and all but I guess it might come down to returning it.
Note: In reference to my second comment, the 300 and 63 ecu's are listed under similar part #s and looking at both ecus. Can ID.

Anyways I guess I'll be returning it. No big deal.
