Headbolt replacement for 2009 C63 AMG
Hello All
Could you please suggest some shop near Michigan where I can get my C63’s Headbolt replaced. I can drive up to 200 miles for a good place.
Also shall I get revised MB headbolts or ARP bolts. Secondly shall I get revised M156 buckets, SLS buckets or SLS BS buckets. Any advantage of one over other. I am planning to keep car NA. This is a proactive repair.
Regards
Jay

For an NA car that is street driven, updated M156 lifters and updated headbolts are more than adequate. SLS BS buckets have "more anti friction coating" and I think are lighter (better for high RPM usage). While the car is apart, get the fuel injectors cleaned or replaced as well as the pcv valve. I also had them do the timing chain tensioner and valve stem seals.

Do not forget a close inspection of the camshafts. I would expect to replace at least intake cams unless it is an extremely low mileage car.
