Clunking noise while going over bumps

Clunking noise while going over bumps
I am losing my mind over this. I bought a 2013 c63 in May and the last few months it has been making this clunking noise. I have taken it to the dealership 3 times so far and each time the noise goes away for about a week only to return worse than it was. It used to only make noises when I turned right on incline changes at low speeds. Now it makes the noise going over any bump at any speed.
The first time I took it in they replaced the front left strut. The second time they replaced the front right strut. The third time they replaced the lower control arm.
I am posting 2 videos of the noise. This video is between the first and second visits and the noise can be heard around the 24 second mark.
This second video was taken today, 2 weeks after my third visit. You can hear the noise continuously throughout the video on any slight bump.
Any and all advice as to what this is would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe your front strut bearing. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...t-bearing.html

Check your repair receipt for 2049810025 and see if the part was replaced w/ the struts. If not there, ask your dealer. Most dealers will replace only worn items and will reuse related items if not worn, especially if under warranty.

8o8is is correct, that sounds like an upper strut mount bearing.

I know this sounds dumb, but are you sure it's not from inside the car? I had an annoying knocking over bumps too, and I realized it was the passenger front seat belt buckle hitting the seat plastic trim on the door side.

that definitely sounds like your struts. Do you have suspension on the car? I have H&R on the car and my struts had to be replaced because of that exact sound. The sound was especially stronger when going over decline bumps or over speed bumps below 5-7 mph. Keep in mind, if you do have suspension and are still within the 2 year warranty, the company should replace them for free

Front strut bearings. Easy to swap out and 99% that's ur issue. One or both. They are also not expensive.
Since ur under warrantee dealer should do that.
A lot blame aftermarket springs or struts but they can just go bad. Probably not the best design.

I have H&R Coil overs and they destroy strut mount bearings. The top mounting assembly on the W204 are not aftermarket strut friendly. I believe those with KW suspension don't have this issue as they have revised strut mount assemblies with the kit.

I also have h&r coils but my car has had no issues. 2 friends with other setups have had issues. I think it's really more complicated and I for one have no idea the cause of the issue.
I know the amg GT guys where having strut issues but there has been some changes to address that.

Thanks everyone for the input. It seems like the general consensus is the strut bearings. I have an appointment with the dealership tomorrow so I will bring this up to the advisor. I really hope this gets resolved.

You can always try smashing it into a tree at moderate speed. I had a rear deck lid rattle that drove me crazy that I finally fixed. The thought crossed my mind many times.

I just noticed that i'm getting clunking noises when driving on rough surfaces/streets and also when i go over bumps etc. Sounds like it's coming from the front passenger side. Currently lowered on H&R springs wonder if this could be causing my problem.

Mine did this and it was the sway bar links. If you have the right tools just take the links off and drive around the block. No noise it’s the links, still noise it’s in the struts

I seem to be having a similar problem
it sounds like something is loose in the front of the car when I go over anything in my garage or any kind of like bumpy road
I’ve taken it to the Benz dealership they fixed the stabilizer link
they said that was siezed
I just took it to the wheel place today and got two new front wheels replaced
I’ve got 20 inch wheels on the car right now
I’m kind of confused
going to go back on Friday and see if they can check these things specifically from reading this post
but they told me everything was fine today as well. So we will see.
so I’m I’m just confused because I know I can hear something sounds like it’s moving
thonk im just going to tell them to replace the struts and bearings.
