Will my trunk have wiring for the factory sub?
I'm wanting to add a aftermarket sub and am looking for a easy way to get the signal from the head unit
Once you're done, it's just a case of fiddling with the gain on the amp to find a balance that works. You'll be able to reduce the bass on your stereo EQ, which will take strain off of your speakers, allowing them to deliver more clarity and stop them from clipping.
This YouTube video kind of explains it, although he has HK so was easy to tap into the parcel shelf sub wires.
I did my buddy's car this way, and it sounds pretty damn good. I am surprised how well the OEM speakers deliver with some weight taken off them, it's at least 3/4 to an HK system, but with more bass.
