Car is LOUD after AP header and midpipe
So I just had a set of AP headers and mid-pipes installed and although I love the new found power, the cold start up is startlingly loud. These headers delete both sets of cats but retain the resonators and catback.
What can I do to quiet the car down while retaining the new found power?
I was thinking perhaps an X-pipe and high flow cats, or perhaps even a quieter cat-back if one exists?
Any ideas?

Anyways if it's tuned eurocharged might still do the cold start delete.

I feel like it is common knowledge also and I don't think the cold start delete will help much. I paid eurocharged for the cold start delete but didn't get what I expected as it was poorly explained to me.
It will not delete the rev at all when you start the car, so you will still get the bit roar like you gave the gas pedal a good stab, what it will delete is the higher idle after the rev that settles down a bit after a minute.
So you get the big rev and then it will go right to 600rpm idle - should be called the high idle delete maybe - so will be better but probably not remove the loudest part that you might want to fix.

SAVAGE cold start is one of the BEST ways to start any morning!
An ez way to reduce the cold startup scream is find/make 2 boxes tall enough/wide enough to surround both sets of exhaust tips, and line boxes with sound proofing material.

My car had MBH long tubes, 200 cell cats, straight pipe, no resonator, factory mufflers, and it was ridiculously loud on cold start. It was just loud in general and did not sound good except at wide open throttle.
I had a custom X pipe made right after the cats and it quieted down the car in a major way. Still has a loud cold start, but nothing like before.

X pipes sound like garbage. Do some digging on the forum, there are extensive threads with video clips and many earlier members experimented with things including myself. Check out my old c63 with the custom silencers and balance pipe. Made it sound exactly what I wanted, didn’t lose any power, my cold starts stopped waking up the neighborhood unless I opened her up, but everyone has different taste. Good luck

Get a pair of variable exhaust flanges and have them shut when you start the car....should make a very notable difference in the bark. You can then electronically (or manually via a lever in the cabin) open the valves when your engine warms up and engages VTEC.
Gosh I had my headers swapped out back to stock last week. I forgot how good the car sounds stock and how terrible it sounded with headers. I do however miss the power a little.

played around and spent an unnecessary amount of money to summarize what the forum already shared:
1. Akrapovic System (Sounds very tame)
2. Remus Cat Back (Almost stock like mikes power pipes and secondary cat delete)
3. Eisenmann Sport Cat Back (This is what i am on now)
4. Weld in two cats to your existing system. I did this with a set of Meisterschaft Axel Back titanium mufflers, and this was by far my favorite setup! Unfortunately i moved and my new neighbors weren't so happy.
5. A buddy of mine did AP Valved exhaust which quietened the exhaust down with flaps closed, but i could not stand the rattles that the valved made. Hence i didn't want to go valved.
*All above options paired with Long Tube Headers.

I have the same set up as you and i installed a magnaflow resonator and it quitened it right down. It didnt last long for me though as it took away the amg noise soo back to stock resonator i went

Right now I’m leaning towards 300 cell high flow cats. Just not sure where to have them welded in.

I have MBH LTH, 200 cell cats, MBH mid section w/ X pipe, resonator, and stock mufflers. My cold start is loud, my idle sounds stock, and the car sounds fantastic throughout the entire RPM range. I have no droning and if you are cruising you can barely hear it. If you go WOT it is L O U D!!! IMO my setup is perfect, quiet when I want it to be, crazy loud when I'm on it.

I can can deal with the noise post start up. It’s the gunshot startup that is not appropriate for my neighborhood.

Do you have a garage? I just start my car with the garage shut and then IMMEDIATELY open the garage. That way that initial BANG is contained inside and then the door is open so I don’t kill myself. I also have the car backed in so the sound isn’t going out towards the street. No one ever complains about it.

cold start is still very loud although I'm betting not as loud as yours. I will post a video tomorrow but I bet it won't do it justice.
