C63 OBX headers

Anyone have them on their cars??? I came from the American car community, a lot of guys ran them with no issues. I saw them as low as 1200$, they probably 800-900$ headers tbh. I know everyone is gonna say the negatives but I just wanna know does anyone have them on their car. I have a e55 im asking for a friend, who is doing a budget build.

Did you even search? The first thing that pops up is a review.

did you even read ??? I clearly said, “INSTALLED ON A CAR” ASK YOURSELF DID HE INSTALL IT ON HIS CAR ????? Smh.... that guy could decide for us how long they would last........ just by eyeing product. I didn’t ask about quality, I asked about who had it installed and how was it on their car.

buy cheap, buy twice. FI headers for $2100 is cheaper in the long run IMO. why run headers that will likely crack on a $40,000 engine?

i have them on my W211 E63...zero to complain about. obviously they're not hand welded etc etc, but i'm not looking for every single 0.5 hp....

one thing to note...the things that look like high flow cats are just bullet resonators if the one you're eyeing has them.

Yeah I know about e63 but c63 has a different heat shield I believe, I’m very curious about c63 man. There is no info on it, i was told by shardul one of his customers runs it no problems, but nobody on the forums has any info on the OBX for c63. The info I’m looking for is very simple, how was the install, do they rub and how long have you drove with them on. So this is definitely a new topic that’s not on the forum.

be the first...

the W211 ones since they're based off the ARH and I believe they are 1" 7/8" primaries they do rub something when i'm making u-turns at almost full lock. besides that no issues with fitment. also, my mechanic said since the primaries are so big he did not have a fun time installing these for me.

yeah I have pb5 headers no problem at all just the slight rub. Also you can install the clamps with rope that ppl use to hold their canoes on the car. Clamp down the motor mount, so they move ever so slightly. Will remove that vibration. It’s usually bad in the winter but I got used to it

Do it right or don’t do it all. Mbh or Arh are the way to go.

Buy a used set of mbh or arh. They pop up here all the time that’s what I did. Got my self a used set of mbh headers and mids works great. I just don’t think the cheap stuff is worth it. It might perform decent however the build quality and metal usage is probably not the best. When they crack you will wish you saved up a bit more. Just my 2 cents.

yeah that’s the plan but I do see that FI has had no cracks. I know MBH has beef with them, but lol 😂 I’m just trying to get some headers on my next build haha. I had pb5 longtubes on my e55 no issues 2 years and I’ve don’t a lot of pulls/ racing. But I agree with everyone, I just thought I may get a similiar experience to pb5 but I guess the obx are too inferior. I just got addicted to longtubes haha I cant drive a sports car without them. Win or lose I need them on any car I buy (supercharged/NA)

yeah I believe it, just heard other things from other ppl. I just need to take a hit on this build and pay the amg header tax. I’m just so used to skipping that route in terms of spending. I guess they have a firm grip on the market and can do these things. But every manufacturer has a explanation for why they price things to a certain degree, so I’m not technically inclined to dictate the amg header high price but my only small argument is lol ctsv gen 2 headers ain’t 3,000. That’s all I got in terms of argument lol, i did personally see the quality of mbh and arh and it’s really high, so they def caught me off guard Bc I was a doubter. Thanks for the advice tho.
