i have a question....it seems the flexfuel unit converts injector time from gasoline to the appropriate mix dependent on ethanol sensor reading. the question i have is...since ethanol air fuel ratios are different than gasoline, how does the factory computer cope with this? I would think the computer will be thrown all out of whack since its o2 readings are much lower than with gasoline.
Normal gasoline has a stoichiometric air fuel ratio of 14.7:1, while E85 is 9.8:1. 'Stoichiometric' is a chemical term that refers to the required ratio of fuel and air for complete combustion. Again, if you failed chemistry this means that on pump gas we need 14.7 parts air to mix with one part fuel.

What happens if you decide to use only petrol then? Car behaviour changes a lot?

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
Jerry worked with ECATX to tweak the tune a bit for my extra mods and got it to 517rwhp - hard to know which of them helped the most but I suspect the Renntech airboxes and underdrive pulleys freed up a decent amount of it.
