Hey guys,
I'm new to the AMG world. I just traded in my 16' WRX for a 2012 Face lift C63 Coupe.
I'm looking for a set of new wheels. I've looking at existing threads and there is a bunch of information about different sizing for sedans, coupes, pre face lift & post face lift. It seems that all these plays a role in wheel fitment because of different wheel arches.
I was hoping you guys can give me some recommendations?
I'm looking to fit a 19" x 10" in the rears (not sure of offset). As for tires, I'm looking to fit 265s or 275s. I would like to go for the widest setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Congrats on the new car - I just posted my old setup ( rims/tires) in the classifieds..... specs are there but they're a perfect custom setup for a FL car to maximize tire size.....245/275
Thank you! I'm fairly new to this forum as well... I'm not sure where I can find your post. Is it possible to attach a link if it's not too much to ask?

you can run up to a 275 35 18 R /245 35 18 F
look at the posted times for stock C63 P31with 18 then look At 507 times and BS times the P31 ran a faster posted time. The other cars have 19” same car/ same weight more power and all have the SLS internals slower time. It’s the rim size in my opinion.

Welcome to the forum.
None of the model year or body style differences have any impact on wheel fitment - as long as its a W204, it's the same for all.
If you want to run a 10 inch rear wheel you are going to need an over 50 et around 54 and a 275 could be done on stock suspension. if your going to lower it you will probably rub and 265 would be safer.

Don’t agree my my P31 is putting out around 600 at the crank. I have just tightened up the suspension with Coilovers I have 275 35 18 on my car. Honestly I drive like I stole it. I throw my car around and use every bit the Hammer 156 has. I don’t rub. Now if you don’t take care of your car and have beat parts on your maybe. I have two great AMG mechanics that are good friends to date every thing has worked out just fine.

you clearly are not reading. 275 tire can be run on the proper rim. You are running an 18 which is probably not 10 inch wide and has proper offsets.
A real world example of running what likely is the very maximum tire width (305) and wheel size (20 x 10.5") on stock fenders:
Would probably not recommended this setup for the track as the tolerances may be too tight

sorry no way on this one. Not on stock fenders. He might have pulled them and rolled them but they are not stock. He is rubbing like hell.
A real world example of running 275 width tire on 19 x 10" rim in the rear on stock fenders, using +50 offset:
Just so you know not all 275 width tires are created equal. Some have wider section widths. As well as some have squared side walls (bigger chance of rubbing) or rounded side walls. This setup would be the most aggressive possible stock unmodified fenders and lowered. Fits what I said 10 inch wide with at least 50 offset. This is very aggressive. I can almost bet if that guy has anyone on the back it rubs.
Best set up in 19” would be:
19x9” +40 with 245/35-19
19x10” +50 with 275/30-19
some companies don’t have a 9” wide width in front offering, so 19x8.5” in same +40 offset is ok, or to keep it more flush like the 9” width offering, bump offset a couple/few mm in the 8.5” width.

if you go 8.5 front you can go +35 no issues and iv seen some even +32. Plus 35 and 245 tire with 8.5 inch rim is perfect

Well aware of tire widths, discrepancies, etc
Both examples provided worked well for those respective owners. OP will obviously need to further his research and reach out to them to determine tire brand/model on the 19" example, etc.
On the 20" example, one would think rear fenders had to be rolled, but I don't recall that he did. Rolled or not, they are still stock fenders, and not the wider type HMS flares.

Going back to my previous W204, Michelin Pilot Super Sports. ZERO rubbing, even with trunk loaded up and 2 people in back seat.
19x10” +50 with 275/30-19
Fronts were 19x8.5” with 245/35-19
Fronts could have easily been a little more aggresssive (I would NOT have done the +32 mentioned somewhere else as I would not want any rub under heavy high speed breaking with some wheel turn, but that’s just me😁.
And keep in mind, if you lower the car some, you will create a bit of negative camber which will actually help against rubbing against the fenders. (Assuming all within “reason”)
