285/40/18 - Mickey Thompson ETs - Too Big?

In the market for drag radials, local shop said these would work. I had originally called on 265/40/18s, but Mickey doesn’t make them any more. He said overall rolling diameter would be 26.9. I have some concerns with the larger aspect ratio.

The car is stock ride height and I plan on driving on these tires to and from the track (30 mile round trip).

Please advise if these will work?

I have a spare set of stock rear wheels, not interested in moving to a 17” setup.

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
that's going to be tight....you might be able to squeeze them in and it'll likely require spacers to get the offset correct, but that taller height is going to compound. Also a heads up that some folks have had issues with the OD of tires being off by more than 3-5% causing ESP and traction lights etc.....

but someone's gotta pioneer this....... haha !

Thanks.... I know, that is my largest concern, the higher aspect ratio. Didn't think about spacers as they are stock wheels.

I have PS4’s 285/35/18 and barely fit. No issues but i think 40s would push it
