Lifters...

I think I've got the lifter issue...

I can hear a light chatter when driving on load - usually just around the gear changes.
There's not a loud clatter on startup though, ie as per some of the videos on YouTube.
I've taken the car into the dealer twice to have them look at it (under warranty) but they are adamant that there is no issue.

Does the noise get progressively worse over time?
Are there any other checks I can do?

If I needed to replace the lifters out of warranty, what parts do people recommend? The SLS or BS versions?
Do I need any other parts too so I can get a rough idea on price?

Sounds more like engine knock to me. What brand and grade of gas are you running?

only 98RON - BP Ultimate or Caltex.

I do sometimes get an irregular tapping on the brake pedal when stopped at lights. Not sure if that is at all related.

That's more likely to be your foot - so no not related
