Vibrating steering wheel when braking
Hi everyone. I am from Sweden and i am new to this forum. And i have a question.
I bought my C63 in december so only had it for 4 months now.
Had issue with vibrating steering wheel when braking. So i changed all four brakes both discs and pads.
It is better but not perfect so it is really annoying. Anyone knows what the next step to check is? Anyone had same problem maybe?
thanks
/Andreas

Check brakes again.
Especially the disk run out while it is bolted to wheel hub.
Sometimes over tighten a wheel lug can warp a rotor.
If rotor is true when wheel bolts properly torqued.
Check wheel properly fits hub with center machined hole fitting well around hub centering ring.
This means whe nyou put wheel on it is centered with hub and rotor.
Then I would as last check but brake things are more likely.:
wheel bearings, steering linkage ball joints and a-arm bushings.

It's your control arms. My brakes were fine and I had a vibration while braking, so I had my car checked. Turned out the control arms had slight play in them causing the car to vibrate under braking - replaced those and it went away. They're not cheap ($400 per side) so double check them before you replace them.

Is it the front upper arms we are talking about?
Anyone tried anything else then original? See much cheaper brands for those. But of course i don’t know about the quality...

Lower arms with upward facing ball joints, no after market available.
Common to prematurely wear out.
