Bang for your buck mods
Hey Guys,
Long time lurker here on the forum. I got my 2013 c63 amg last year. I just wanted to know what are some good mods for power that are bang for your buck. I've been on Rentech, Weistec and Eurocharge websites and see alot of great stuff but a lot of them are pricey for maybe only a small gain. I wanted to know what people on here think are some good mods.

I know your frustration with research and the multiple opinions about mods and what brands give you the most "bang for your buck." If you are budget conscious then:
1. Replace air filters (afe)
2. Upgrade to ROW airbox (this is highly debated but the mod is so cheap, especially if you just buy the insert, not the whole box)
3. Tune by either OE or Eurocharged (again, debatable who is best as there are many out there). Im currently having issues with EC and may try Kleeman
4. Remove second cats and resonator
5. Lastly headers. Again, a lot of debate. I personally only saw a 7 hp gain with headers over a resonator and secondary cat delete, but Im at 5280' above sea level.
The rest is as Dads C6 explained is just wasted money for minimal gains ie carbino intake, gruppe ram air, etc. There is a sticky post at top of the forum for W204 that has each modification explained but as usually, those threads have turned into huge debates and only adds to the confusion.
My only suggestion is if you do anything with the exhaust, make sure they use clamps and dont weld. If you dont like the sound or how the car reacted to the change, its a lost easier to revert back or try something else. Then once you like the car and sound, then maybe have it all welded in.
Hope this helps.
