Can I get away with a Coupe if I need space for child seats?

Potential new owner question; I'm in the market for a new car as I've had to sell my two seater as I've got an 8 month old baby now plus a 6 year old son.

I've narrowed my search down to a 13/14 plate c63 AMG and prefer the look of the coupe but not sure how practical it would be getting the baby in and out. I would leave the car seat in the car so wouldn't need to take it in and out just need to get the baby buckled in.

Am I best to go with the saloon for the baby seat plus the 6 year olds seat or will I be fine with the coupe? Anyone got any experience?

did it every day for 9 months
no issues
at 4 months... he would make car noises and grunt... he knew EXACTLY when the car was going to shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and would make the noise

vroooom, vruuummmm , vrrrruuummm.... at 4-5 months of age

just took that last pic right now for you.. he's currently 3 years old

Haha so already a petrol head!! Did you have to take the seat out everytime then with him facing backwards? I didn't think of that...my thought process was that it would be forward facing so could just place the baby in the seat and off you go. I'm guessing it's got to be the passenger side for the baby seat then the driver side for the 6 year old...he fitted in the lotus easy so I'm not concerned about him managing.

Thanks for the detailed response!

at that age, the car seat had a dock that stayed there. the seat would latch in and out easy

the wife's car had a dock and mine did as well.... so 1 car seat, 2 docks and boom easy switch. this makes it easy to get in and out.
reason for Passenger side was I didn't want to have to adjust my seat every time.... AND I could see him in the rearview mirror if I needed to.

kids stay rear facing here until a certain height/age

at age 3 we turned him around and needed a new car seat for his size
we only have ONE of the new kind

Is it okay for a baby's ears if my car has long tube headers?
