Dodge Challenger Hellcat
OK, wrong forum, wrong manufacturer, wrong everything but you guys are my brothers so I'll ask...
My wife and friends call me 'transaction boy' because I like to rotate my cars way too often -- not that I am considering parting with my beloved w204. But I AM considering picking up a 2016 Hellcat since they have come down in price to a reasonable level and can be had with under 10,000 miles for +/- $45K.
I don't know why but I am fixated on driving this car. 700 freaking HP. 700! That's just sick. I am obsessed.
So what say you fellas? Anyone done it? Talk me into or out of it please :-)

1) charger is cooler and faster
2) they're totally different
I'm sure most the comments below me are going to hate on Mopar vehicles but the fact of the matter is that the challenger and c63 are very different vehicles

I was in the same boat as you. The Hellcats are bad azz fast straight line but are a huge car.
If if you are after performance two choices for you.
1) Pit a blower on your AMG
2) Buy a used C7 Z06 Vette as a toy car
I have my AMG sedan and also have a C6 Vette convertible that is modded.

The Challenger RT I had was no Hellcat but the car is BIG. Main reason that I sold mine and bought a SL550 a few months later. It handled reasonably well but not well enough to keep. That said, driving a 707 HP street car for a while would be a hoot.

hellcat is a hot boy car.
i like things a little more low key.

Other then the performance there is nothing about the Hellcat that I think is cool or even close to attractive. Interior is cheap with the quality issues of Dodge I would not touch it. As a car to have as a toy to take to the drag strip there is no better option out there. Also, the amount of tuning you can do to it as well. DD no. Drag/Track car yes.

I personally love the look of Challengers. They just look so ****ing mean especially in all black. Ever since I seen LL Cool J pull up in one in NCIS LA I've always had an itch to own one but whenever I sit in one I can't get past how much I don't like the interior. So I don't think I'll ever own one but I might rent one while on vacation if I ever need a rental.

More daily-able than the comparable ford or chevy
People are making 1000HP easy with these. Isn't 707 enough though

For pure horsepower for dollar I think its a pretty slammin deal. The chassis and rest of the car is not near a C 63, but I think if you want a visceral power monster why not? I drove a scatpack and it was pretty entertaining, They are very different cars, but anything with a big V8 has to be a little fun, and they look evil in black.
