Any Model 3 Performance owners or anyone driven on?
I'm about to hit 175k miles on my C63, and although it'd be great if it keeps running forever, not sure how realistic that is.
I have a Tesla Model 3 Performance on my short of of cars to move to.. Any M3P owners here or anyone driven one? Thoughts? I know from a stop it's much faster but does it still pull at all at 70? 80+?
Mostly interested in having a car with some decent tech as well. My 09 can't even tell me my tire pressure but it always puts a smile on my face when i stomp the go pedal.

Coincidentally my buddy in his 3P is at Wednesday Night Drags as we speak. He just sent me this. Looks pretty competitive to the 500whp Times we have posted in our 1/4 mile thread.

Not really close. 500whp C63’s trap in the 123-124mph range and are closer to 11.4 (on street tires)

Great bc at first I had just quickly scanned our times when I posted and thought I saw a handful of tuned header cars in 11.7s as well. He is convinced it’s the future too. And I hate his car. There’s also that awful Top Gear comparison video published recently showing the BMW M3 vs M3P up here at Thunderhill West. It’s a terrible comparison as there’s no “control”.

FYI most of the list times are getting pretty old. Prior to the advent of the current crop of magic unicorn tunes, a “tuned headers car” was typically assumed to be around 450-460whp (that’s what a tapped-out V5 headers tune would get you a few years ago).
And there are a lot of bad drivers on that list.

If you track your cars, gas powered cars are much better. Under everyday driving conditions you just can't beat the Teslas. I'm in Atlanta and rarely do I see any open space to open up the car, otherwise I'm in traffic. Having instantaneous torque is essential when you have to make a move quick. None of these gas cars can do that (unless you are in sport plus mode revved up and ready to go). Currently I have a tuned e63 with about 700hp. On numerous occasions the one second lag until the turbos kick in is way too long when you have to make a quick left turn. Don't believe me- drive a Tesla for a week and you will never want to go back to gas powered cars. The technology is on a whole another level. (However, on an open road you still cannot beat the growl and thunder of the AMG engine kicking in).

Putting my two cents in...
At my last track day at VIR... one of the other Driver Club members had his Tesla model 3 in my run group the first session...
After the session, I stopped by the car to check it out and place the challenge... next session I was behind him in line to pit out...
followed him the first lap... he seemed slow.... maybe playing possum?... followed him on second lap to oak tree- last turn before back straight...
we raced up the back stretch.... we were even up to 100mph... me in my stock ‘507’... then I started to pull away... me hitting 155mph... him maybe 120mph...
no “CONTEST”... passed him twice more before the end of the session!

I just test drove one. I would say its not quite a C63 but its no honda accord. Its pretty appealing to me because I have some long drives in highway traffic and would like to let the car drive a bit. Still was very fun.

Go for it we have one and haven’t looked back! 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and you can use it in the snow. It will beat the C63 on track and in the 1/4 mile, however the c63 will beat it in the 1/2 mile. The car handles really well and has an almost endless amount of grip.

It is the sound you will miss the most, I have driven a lot of tesla's and everything is impressive about the performance, but one of the things that made me buy the C63 was the intoxicating soundtrack coming out the back. I know electric is the future and we will forget about the noise, but I sure am going to miss it. Seems latest reports are that the dinosaur powered AMG's will not make as much sound anyway with new EU sound standards, so that will make the switch easier if they don't have a good sound even with gas!
