sad with h&r coil results :(
so after a lot of research on here i decided to go with a set of h&r coil overs they advertise between 1.2"-2.2" of lowering and after my install i only got 1" front & rear and they are maxed out. ive been in touch with h&r directly and a few members on here and they've only got 1"-1.2" max out of them as well, why is this? has anyone gotten the full drop out of these coils? i bought these coils in hopes of getting 1.5" of drop and i had a stance in mind and now i feel cheated as i put a lot of money into this and didnt get the end result i was looking for. dont get me wrong the car looks and handles amazing as it is but its not what i wanted i mean i bought front and rear camber arms had them installed also that was extra cost on top too. which i wouldnt of needed had i known i was only going to get 1" of drop. im just wondering why they would advertise a certain amount of drop if it cant be attained? any one have any insight to this? even h&r said they dont know why only 1" is all i got. whats everyones thoughts on this? any insight or help would be awesome

ive actually seen your car and some of your posts today too and was thinking of doing the removal of the perch as well it might be my only option at this point. did you notice the suspension settle at all? ive got about 300km on the set up since initial install i would think it would be all settled out by now

yeah im down all the way as well no fender rub but i was just expecting to get lower like h&r advertises, so your saying you got all 2.2" of adjustment down with the set up?

I’m not sure how much it went down I lowered it u til it looked good and I felt I had enough fender clearance to street drive then lowered the tears til the weight over each tire was roughly equal

^Perfect. Thank you sir
You happen to take a before & after measurement (ground to fender)?
Not looking to go that low and half-considering a set of H&R springs in lieu of c/o's.

yeah you bet i did and it was exactly 1" taller front & rear before the coil overs went in im at 25.5" front & 24.5" rear thats why im so sad i bought camber arms for the front and rear to correct excess camber for the 1.5" drop i was looking for too so that was a waste of money and install wasnt cheap on that as i had to drop the sub frame a bit to get the rear bolts out of the stock camber arms if i knew i was only gonna get this 1" lower than stock i would of bought the h&r drop coils hands down and been happy with the .8" drop they provide

My front end sits lower than that. It's perfectly flush with the OEM tire size on the 19'' Multispokes. Give it a week to settle .... the coils are spun all the way down?
Your rear height is perfect.

i really hope the front comes down a bit more like a 1/4” so it’s flush like you said and as for the rear I really wanted to tuck some tire not much just a little I’d like to see a 1/2” lower in the rear personally and yeah everything is max low I’ve already put 300+ km on the set up so I don’t think it’ll settle any more unfortunately

ive has so many mixed reviews on settling haha my distributor said they would settle 1/4-1/2” in a month or so and when I called h&r directly they said it wouldn’t settle so I’m just so unsure of what’ll actually happen I guess just put the miles on and see

yeah the car feels better in the corners for sure and handles way better than stock, the ride is a little better id say too but im not a race or track guy just a spirited daily driver if i was at all a track guy id opt for the pss10 or kwv3 with dampening for sure but if your looking for something a bit better than stock and able to lower a max 1" then this is the coil for you

i might have to try that even if i got another 1/4" out of them front and rear that would be awesome, i am still going to wait for some time to see if they do settle but i doubt thatll happen and im also waiting to hear from H&R directly as to why they only dropped 1"

quick update 1000km later and zero settling, currently talking with H&R about getting shorter front and rear springs to get me lower and if that fails ill be pulling these out and replacing with a set of mullers they say they can lower more than the H&R setup so might be going that route in the near future. whats the thoughts on muller/FA? upgrade to swift springs, dampening is a nice added feature and front sway bar links too, and they say 3" of lowering too so that should get me where i wanna be
