c63 OEM BLACK SERIES conversion
I am doing a new thread for my oem black series. I made a thread couple months back with doing a fiberglass kit which i gave up on. It was way to much work to get it right so i decided to buy all oem black series parts. ( over a 100 parts). if you are trying to do the same thing, you are looking at around $12k just for parts, 3k to take the quarters off and about 5k for paint depending on shop. I did not want to spend another 8k for that so i decided to build this at home in my garage. I did not buy the track package and did not get the wider track because i wanted custom deep concave rims. Technically this is a black series now. all parts came from Mercedes Germany and pretty much all on back order and will be waiting months to get them. follow me on instagram @ blwn63

Seriously nice work... and a lot of it. You were a man on a mission :-)
Now that it's done, would you do it again? Or would you just pony up for a low-mileage BS? I bet you have just about enough in yours to cover one :-0

Yes, i would definitely do it again. Its cheaper. The only thing is waiting on all the parts and it takes a while because most are on backorder.

hater!!. it is because i have every single genuine part a stock black series has??. Black series is just an option, not a stand alone car. i bought that. P98. if your car was side by side with mine, there would be no difference other than mine is a lot nicer exterior and interior. Plus it was cheaper than yours with all the additional upgrades!!!

Hater? Brother I think its cool that your building that car, but to say its "technically" a Black Series is laughable. In many ways your car is superior, but at the end of the day its just a modified C63 with a BS body kit. Its like someone taking their C300, dropping in a junkyard 6.3 and few few other bits and saying they have a AMG. Again, congrats on the build, its way cool, but it is what it is...

It looks good and if your happy thats all that matters. You do know a black series is more than just the kit though like you have said above? The suspension is different, the brake calipers and discs are bigger, the track is different, the rear axle is different, the engine cooling is different and on most of them they have diff coolers too.

^ he’s right about that (for once)
would need to add the BS block, wider rear track and active diff cooling to be complete
Still a great build, can’t wait to see it finished

Just going to throw some more hate out there...
I'm hating because that beast isn't in my garage. Killer build man, and to each their own. For me, I don't have the ability you do, however I would definitely go your route over a stock BS, but both have their own merits.
Man do I love the color! Good pick on the ESS blower too!
