hey just recently got a 2014 C63 (507 edition), the seats are little worn out so im looking into getting Recaro sportster with heaters. I wanna know what kind of brackets/rails do i need, how to connect heater element to stock wiring and any other helpful tips to make instalation easier thanks.
member BLKROKT is doing Sparcos with base and sliders if I recall. You'll want the Planted seat base I believe, their mounts, and up to you if doing a slider. There are a few threads around here about aftermarket seats, but I don't recall seeing any discussing maintaining heated seats functionality. Cool idea.

It is my understanding that the CS Sportster seat is no longer being made. The CS Sportster was replaced with the Sportster GT
no they are still in production, but the wait time is about 2-3 months. they can be ordered with heat elements and airbags.
im just trying to see if it would be better to buy aftermarket seats or redo stock seats in all new leather.

There was a thread on here about using 2-3 different leather restoration products and the OP included some excellent pictures of his results. See if you can locate that thread. I didn't save it because my seats are cherry.
I think it was in that same thread that someone said they got new seat covers from MB and putting them on was no more difficult than putting a case on a pillow. Or I just dreamed that but I don't think so.
