CLS 63
Engine Builder Plate
I posted my original thread on the CLS63 site but with no replies, so I thought I would ask the C63 group.
Purchased a 2007 CLS63 last month and it was missing the engine builders plaque. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement or even a replica. The local MB dealer is not much help since the car is an 07. I believe the part number should be 000 221 24 01 but it shows discontinued on the sites that I found it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

2016 GTs, 2014 C63 AMG and 2014 C350 Sport (wife's car, she thinks it's an AMG - shhhhhh)
Interesting question. If it was me, I'd try reaching out to the AMG plant directly and provide your VIN.
Since each plate is created for a specific builder, my hunch is they may not have extras on the shelf (especially if your builder retired in 2008).
I've seen some folks with ties to the plant in and out of the forum so there may be some joy if your post gets spotted by someone but I wouldn't hold your breath.
You can also try joining the owners' lounge on the AMG website where they have a forum and start your quest there as well.

All you need to do, is go to your local Mercedes Benz Dealership with your vehicle registration, talk to the parts guy and place an order for a replacement placard.
Many order owners have done this in the past. And is documented in this forum.
