Parking break squeal after rear pad change?
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2013 non P31 coupe, I recently did a full brake pad change. I'm super happy with the results (changed out the type of pads, no more squealing from that part). What I am now running into is an issue with what I believe is the parking brake. At very low speeds, or from a standstill I will sometimes here a rhythmic squeal from the rear brakes. I also have the 'parking brake engaged' warning when pulling away intermittently, if I grab on the handle and pull a few times it will go away with no issue. I don't set the parking brake at all, just put the car in park.
So my thought is that after changing the pads, since the new pads are thicker, the car is putting too much pressure on the rear pads, engaging the 'parking brake' and I am unsure how to reset that, or if there is a procedure for doing so.
Any ideas would be super helpful!

Sorry I should clarify. I changed pads on all 4 corners. I had the rotors checked (they only have 30K) and they were all within spec, so I had them resurfaced.
One other thing to note is that the noise goes away after about 10-20 mph. And when looking at my dash, that's about when the P indicator goes off on the dash.
