2. It adds a considerable amount of heat in your engine bay towards the front end which will make you coolant lines overtime more brittle and also plastic parts and connections need to be replaced more often. So basically your paying for your car to be ****ed up easier and more often, not a bad way to blow 300 bucks. Thanks VRP!! Great idea!!! It was my fault for not talking to an experienced AMG tech before making this purchase. Good thing I never got into an accident with these tubes on or it would be a Lawsuit against vrp. I suggest to VRP to cease/desist this product or it will be a lawsuit.
Seriously, next you are going to tell me the intake spacers are a waste of money too - so much for all the mods I was going to buy!

Go ahead, each their own, there’s better things to spend your money on than these hideous pointless dress ups. Dyno results don’t lie

The intake ROW inserts if you get them to fit and they didn’t 3D print it lopsided or warped they do show a power gain at higher rpm’s. Also possibly a little better on fuel economy. Allot more responsive on the throttle. I haven’t tried the intake spacers and I’m not planning on committing any more atrocities on my engine. I’m not trying to shut VRP down just save you guys the trouble and direct your money towards something different. There are better things to spend on like Pipercross foam racing air filters, or a $800 weistech ecu flash.

Another cheap mod

Here’s another cheap mod. You read the thread about putting an e63 intake Y pipe on your c63. That’s great, but what to do with your vacuum hose? You get one of these bad boys with a pressure gauge. This is not just a performance improvement but a dress up option as well. They look tight. You can run it in front of your coolant reserve, or to be safe, by the Engine bay fuse box. The less stuff under the hood forward of moving engine parts the better, remember that.

I think you guys missed my humor, was never going to put any of this stuff on my car, was always planning to just drive the hell out of my car as it is and then spend the money on beer for the weekend!

Alright first, If youre in a front end collision that's pushing your front end back enough to damage your tubes you already need any entire front clip. Worst thing that would happen with our tubes is they would come apart at the couplers, these are 3 seperate pieces connected with silicone on each side. also, there is no "crash fold" in the factory plastic tubes., They crush, They are plastic. Very thin plastic. No "Fold": Needed.

Point number 2, there is absolutely 0 chance these are causing your coolant lines and plastic parts to become more brittle. First, These are not touching anything other than the silicone couplers, The couplers do not conduct heat. You are talking about radiant heat. There is plenty of that coming off of the engine, These tubes will not effect either the lines or the plastic. The air isnt spending enough time in the tubes to be heated up. The tubes increase airflow from a 2.5" inlet to a 3.5" inlet, Remember the front ducts are 5".

These are currently our #1 selling m156 product. You are perfectly fine keeping your stock plastic tubes But don't spread misinformation. Remember, a Mercedes tech is a mechanic, Not an engineer, Instead of claiming this person as an expert lets say "A guy gave me his best guess as to why Mercedes used plastic tubes (and disregard cost completely)".

Carbon tubes are coming soon!

Check out the size and flow characteristic differences. Sounds like another negative out there. Seems like poor performance based choice. I’m looking for a fast girl first, not pretty. In this case like many others, that gloss comes with high negative return.
