Disconnecting the battery(ies)

I’m going to be doing some headlight work this afternoon and I was wondering what the proper way of disconnecting the battery is. I would like to not have to disconnect the battery and then have to have it towed to the dealership.

Also, how do I take the headlight bulb out?
