New c63 owner in Michigan
Hey guys I just got my 12 c63 Amg coupe a month ago. I live in Michigan should I put snow tires on it and try to drive it in the snow? Or should I just buy a bmw for the winter? I’m leaning towards the bmw, it’s a clean car and I’m ocd of salt and all that wonderful stuff.

Driving in the winter is fine with winter tires...most of the time. It’ll be a challenge in an ice storm or large accumulations. It’s the salt, potholes, and idiot drivers I’m more worried about.
If you can use a beater, I’d recommend it. If not, it’ll be adequate with the right tires.

Great to see another C63 owner here in Michigan.

Welcome! I also have to deal with snow here in NJ, albeit probably not nearly as much as you. I went ahead and got a set of 19" wheels with summer tires, and mounted Blizzaks on the stock 18" wheels for the winter. The extra sidewall should help somewhat with the potholes too.
If the weather is bad, you'll still probably want an awd or 4x4 vehicle to get around. Something with ground clearance would be a good idea if you routinely see 8+ inch accumulations.
