Center speaker is+ shorting after car wash, any ideas why?

Something weird happening. My center speaker is shorting out after a car wash, any ideas why? After the wash, I start the car and hear static and crackle from speaker plus smell burst plastic. This happened to me about 6 weeks ago and was replaced by dealer with just a speaker replacement. Looked around the area where the windshield and hood meets and didn't notice anything unusual. Understand water can intrude from the slightest opening. Has anyone had this issue?

Can't say for sure but my '14 developed a windshield leak about 6 months ago... also noticed after a car wash. There was no visible gaps in the sealer but water was leaking down inside the windshield from the top.

I'm guessing the windshields were not properly sealed in 2014 or our cars came down the line after Oktoberfest and the guy who glues them was hungover.

In any event, given that I have the same year and mine started leaking that yours is too.

Issue is worrisome as leaks are hard to find. Don't think it's the windshield but think it's somewhere under the plastic shield by the wipers. Will try to inspect further
