Just purchased 2011 C63 P31. Recommended upgrades?

2011 C63 sedan P31 bone stock with NO LSD.
I am not driving this on the track ever.
I do not want to lower it unless I can do it without a harsh ride. Airbags perhaps?
I want more HP if possible and a great sounding exhaust.
I have been doing a bit of research but figured it might be best to get a list of suggestions and then research from there.

What do you all suggest doing right off the bat?

So far the top of my list are:
1. Mikes PP Decat. Keeping resonators.
2. LSD install. Wavetrac or Quaife?
3. A tune but which one and how? I have seen videos where you can install tunes yourself and I have done it on Motorcycles before but which ones? I couldn't find a good how-to on doing it.
4. Any suggestions?

Mostly going for the look and sound. I might do a red light drag race here and there but that's about it.

Seems like you are on the right track so far.

1. Good choice.
2. Doesn't matter, both are very similar. I have Wavetrac and love it.
3. Tons of tunes out there. Most are just plug and play. The handheld will come with instructions and there is a walkthrough on here as well. Eurocharged is always a great choice and good bang for buck.
4. Carbon bits, never hurts to get a diffuser, front lip or spoiler.

You seem pretty set though and you don't really need much more. Only thing I can think of is maybe ROW airboxes and AFE filters.

I figured I would add some carbon bits later.

Not sure what the ROW airboxes are but I will do some research.

I think the tune is the one I am most lost on. As you say, there seem to be a bunch. What is the handheld? Can you not plug your laptop in and add the tune? IS there a place to dl the Tunes or do you have to go each website and purchase it?

I seem to see Eurocharge a lot.

Saw the Burple tune but that's a bit loud for me.

You are worried a tune will make the car too loud for you?

No. I said I didn't like the one specific Burble tune that I saw.

I do not like this.

I do like this.

I just don't care for the crackle and pop tune.

So the two you like sound like headers cars and would be quite loud in person... the car you don’t like is an entirely different car. So you are worried the tube will change your car to a w205?

Did you buy the grey one for sale in Cincinnati by chance?

Hundreds of threads on this subject. The general consensus is
- ARH/MBH LTH (add H or X pipe for proper exhaust scavenging)
- ROW Airboxes
- Tune
- Coilovers (or springs if you’re on a budget)
- CF diffuser, front lip, trunk lip
- Wavetrac or Quaife LSD if you don’t have a factory LSD

Here's a 204.

I don't like this one particular tune.
Loud I am fine with. I don't like the popping and crackling.

- ARH/MBH LTH No clue what these mean. Mikes PP seems like my choice.
Row airboxes will happen
Tune I just need to figure out which one and how to do it.
I don't want to lower it. Unless I could do airbags and get a softer ride
Already have the trunk lip. Been looking at the lip, diffuser, and side skirts
Needs the Diff service done. I will probably do the LSD then.

It was used in a Mercedes commercial where they tossed it out of a plane and it landed in the middle of a lake.
Just kidding. I was looking at that one too, but I'm way out in CA. Congrats, it looks like a really nice example.

ARH & MBH are the 2 leading brands of long tube headers most on this forum end up with. Most refined (and loudest) exhaust addition with a nice ~40whp bump.
As for the tune, your best bet is to get a custom dyno tune, but if you’re looking for box tunes, Eurocharged, Weistec, and a few others are your best bet.

Seems to be a very clean car. Needs new tires and all 4 wheels are curbed but other than that it's in very good condition with a service history binder.

I will probably do the cat deletes, airbox mods, plugs, LSD, etc... first and then look into the tune.

Thanks for the info

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
agree with the rest of the group on ROW's, LSD of some sort ( I just added a wavetrac and am impressed so far), LTH's and an X or H pipe and then work from there......

Where you are located likely will factor into the best source for a tune.... it's nice to have local support...

congrats on the car- post up some pics ...

Eurocharge is about 2 hours away.

Don't have the car yet. Waiting for the lien release from his bank.

Will post up some pics later

Curious about the whole LSD thing. It's absolutely insane MB didn't equip all C63s with them from the factory.
Having said that, is the reason people go aftermarket on non-LSD cars because the MB OEM one is so expensive? Or because it's not that great and the alternatives are better?

Mercedes usually won’t sell individual differential parts, you have to purchase the entire unit. So yes I imagine it’s cost prohibitive to do it that way. You could source a used differential with one fairly cheaply I’m sure.

ROW airboxes (copy/paste from ECS Tuning site) - Featuring larger volume European airboxes. The charcoal filters have been eliminated from these units, allowing them to breathe easier and make more power. Both left and right parts include new MAF sensors as well, allowing your engine to make best use of the increase in airflow.

The handheld is the mini computer that lets you upload the software and switch between tunes. It's super easy and can be done in about 10 min. You plug it into your OBDII port (under steering wheel area).

As far as the tune, you get the handheld, you will download your vehicles file and send that through email to the tuner. They will send back a tune for your car. Then you can just hook up the handheld and apply. (Some steps in between.)
