But building it and upgrading the valve body I'm sure could bring it on par pretty easily.
I was only responding to mr747's comment about it being trash...for his particular application.

You wan't a drag car? Remove the components that weren't designed for it.

That's just it, I dont want a drag only car. Just with a torque converter etc. You can add a trans brake to launch pretty hard. And if doing road course or back road driving it's not hurting anything.

The possibility of the swap was just an idea that still could possibly help the car perform all around. But most people get apprehensive and think the mct,dct are the holy grail.

I personally think the mcat and the 722.9 are kinda **** but they are both light years ahead of the dinosaur 722.6
a sequential shift transmission would be ideal both for speed and power holding potential but you are looking at a pretty hefty price. Definitely in the group that thinks a transmission upgrade is something that this platform could use I just think the 722.6 isn’t it

It's also a 6 cylinder with a giant turbo that doesn't make the same kind of instant torque a blown v8 makes. If wiestec's transmission doesnt hold up, maybe try someone else? 3 of them.... kinda makes you wonder if they should rename it. "bulletproof" lol ok

give it another 10yrs, we'll probably have transbrakes too. 722.6 rated for 900nm, 722.9 mct and v12 rated 1000nm. There are so few people having issues with them there hasn't been a need. supply and demand. not worth anyones time if only 5 people want or need it. meanwhile in 55k land....

Its because MOPAR used that transmission that there are aftermarket features available. Not because of the 55k customers.

I dont think you will see a trans brake since it is a wet clutch hence mct. Youd burn the clutches up locking gears together coming up on power. With a torque converter it's just fluid.

Agreed, mopar used them and have a bigger drag following and since they're all but The same trans it wouldn't be anything to build one for a Benz.
