C63 W204 Grinding/Scraping sound from rear side
Hi guys,
i have a 2011 c63 edition 125, i am having issues at the minute where There is a scraping/grinding noise coming from the rear wheels. It gets faster with the vehicle speed and causes slight vibration sometimes on the motorway. i have changed the brake pads so far but it has not helped. It is getting worse and worse, when reverse is selected it sounds like its scraping against something and does not want to go back (like the handbrake is on) but on a normal run driving at 30mph it just sounds like a metal scraping sound. Any help would be great guys.

Tough to say could be something as simple as the dust shield on the brake rotor... or an axle/cv issue hard to say just by sound. Could check your park brake as well sometimes rocks or debris gets lodged in there and can make some pretty nasty sounds

Check to make sure the brake dust shield isn’t bent (I think there’s a small one). Could be tire scraping on a loose exhaust heat shield.
