hah! love it. thanks for the warm welcome folks
Needs Wheels badly, waiting for some good black friday deals to get a set of 19s. Also a tune is planned in the near future - also waiting for a decent deal to show up. has a few nicks on the back bumper, wheels are rashed up a bit.
Didnt get a pic of it here but the interior has the carbon fiber trim so it will match some exterior carbon fiber in the future.

Welcome! If you live in a place that get's actual winter weather, you can do what I did and get these wheels stripped, repaired and powdercoated, then put on winter tires. Gives you time to save for new wheels and summer tires in the spring.

More questions fellas:
what is the max wheel/tire size combo I can get on this car? Yes i know there is a search function and I have spent hours reading over the different posts. The problem is I cant find a definite answer. I would like to get 19x10 - 275/30 ET52 front and 19x8.5 245/35 ET40 on the rear, will these fit on stock suspension? It seems like from my research they will but I am still unsure. Thanks for any input!
Im also looking at tunes, It seems like for quality and value balance that eurocharged is the way to go, what tunes are you guys running and how do you like them?

Nice car Randy! HP Tuners here with my own tune. I used to have Eurocharged tune (V5, V6, and V7 header tune) on my car but when I ran it at the dragstrip multiple times, I could never beat my fastest stock timeslip of 11.96 @ 117 mph. Now, with my tune I ran 11.80 @ 120 mph. All my runs have been on street tires. When HP Tuners came out with C63 tuning capabilities, I jumped all over as I use have a speed shop and tuned imports when it was big back in the day (AEM, Electromotive, etc) and knew my car is faster than 11.96, especially with FBO. I still have more power to gain as I didn't get a chance to adjust the cam timing on the dyno as I ran out of time but I'll be going back to the dyno hopefully soon.

also that is hard to believe that you are implying the eurocharhed tunes made your car slower, could it be more power made you slip more and gave you slower times? what were the dyno results from the tunes vs stock? thanks for the info and the warm welcome!

FBO stands for Full Bolt Ons referring to performance modifications. Things like exhaust (headers, cat removal, etc.), intake (filters, air boxes, intake tubes, etc.), suspension, weight removal and tuning. No internal engine mods and mostly mods that can be reversed and the car turned back to stock configuration.
In post 14 you have reversed your front and rear reference. Other than that your specs look good. You can get a 19 x 9 - 255/35 ET35 on the front.
I think quaalude is saying, as he went through the EC versions his car did not get any faster, not that it was slow or made slower. He felt there was more in it, as opposed to the EC off the shelf tune. He found it by modifying the tune himself using HPTuners and running on the dyno to verify his results and confirm that the parameters were safe. You can also get a bit more out of an EC tune by having a custom tune done on a dyno by EC or another competent tuner with or without EC support.
Have fun with your car and let the mods begin.

you are correct i reversed front and rear tire specs. thays good to know, as far as handling would a 8.5" width tire or a 9" width tire be better for handling?(assuming tire size is bigger on the 9" width as well). i love fat tires and would love to go as wide as possible, especially on the rear.
on the EC tune that makes sense. it seemed to me like he was saying none of the EC tunes made his car faster which is hard to believe as they claim a decent boost in power.
again, thanks for all the precious info!!

Yup, Mort is correct. V5 bench tune - I gained no power and ran slower than my stock times. I dynoed the car with the V5 bench tune and it measured exact same power as stock. Jerry made some adjustments while I was on the dyno and I got 419whp/383 ft-lbs with V5 tune. I went to the track (Bradenton Motorsports) with V5 dyno tune and still couldn't beat stock time and my mph was about the same (mph gain in 1/4 mile dragstrip run is indication of power gain from the motor. It negates wheel spin and 60' times as by then the car has achieved traction). Upgraded to V6 and ran at the track again with no gains. Multiple runs were in cold weather so the car should have been making good power as the air is denser and car runs cooler. Upgraded to V7 header tune after I installed MBH headers and ran again at the track and only got 12.0x @ 117mph if I recall. With aFe air filters, ROW air boxes, MBH headers full setup, and tune, C63's will commonly run between 11.5-11.8 seconds and trap at least 120 mph and up. After spending $830 on the tune and handheld and then paying $75-100 for each upgraded map verison, you would think I would be faster than stock no? Especially after I got the headers and updated tune. This is just my experience.

I like those a lot, they look amazing. I might consider doing this, I have a daily driver I use for work and the mercedes stays garaged for the most part unless its nice out. Ive lived all over the US in my life, I am currently in the portland, OR area so winters will be pretty rough and i probably wont be driving it a lot in the winter.
what was the cost to have that all done?

Here is stock tune Run-006 and V5 bench tune for Run-008:
Here is dyno tuned V5 on Run-015 vs. stock tune:
So technically I gained 17.1 whp and 19.27 ft-lbs from V5 dyno tune.
