Would you Risk it? 507 w/salvage title

It's a gorgeous 507 w/ 15,000 miles on her. Is it crazy to entertain purchasing this thing? The price is excellent for a clean title but a little steep given the salvage risk.

well, yea. you could part it out for $20K and make money so that's a no-brainer.
question is: how much is it worth if it escaped damage and what's a fair risk discount.
so far it looks like a unanimous NO at $36K.
(and i kinda wonder if the previous owner is on this forum... that would be interesting)

Not cheap enough for a salvage title and the funny thing about water damage is it take a year or 2 and then slowly connectors turn green and all kinds of weird electrical issues can start years later that is why they are written off because there is no affordable fix but these dealers try to make a quick buck because the car is fine now and they just pass the problem on. Guessing their warranty they will sell you will be denied if you have electrical Issues down the road also once they see it was a flood car.

hard to know what issues will pop up with the elec but you can be sure they will...... I had a few folks I know buy Harvey flood cars cheap .... it was only at first....one guy picked up a RR sc'ed that now needs a complete wiring harness and new block...plus almost none of the HVAC works.
and that's not even close to a deal..... if it was going to be a track car and 15k , maybe....

A front end salvage is not a deal breaker but I typically stay away from floods. I'd see if the owner has before pics that properly demonstrate the flood line.

if you look at the reports from MD they had some significant flooding then - not as bad as it was in may or later during the hurricane but I'd bet it must've gotten soaked for the insurance co to write it off.... great color and super low miles but too many things to go wrong IMHO.

Like everyone who mentioned, run away from this vehicle. Flood damaged cars are ticking time bombs. They will eventually rear it's ugly head and make your "dream" 507 into a nightmare.
